Culinary arts or better known in English, namely Culinary Arts is one of the college majors that studies the components of food. This includes the preparation, cooking process, and the process of serving the food.

 

What is the study of Culinary Arts?

The Study of Catering is a study of science related to the art of preparing, cooking, and serving ready-to-eat food. The study also teaches food presentation techniques by paying attention to quality, taste, aesthetics, and nutritional needs.

 

In the study of Catering, we will learn ways to prepare various traditional and international dishes, such as Western cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Middle Eastern cuisine, Italian cuisine, and so on.

 

In addition to learning how to process food, you will also learn how to mix drinks and how to serve them. And also learning aspects of sanitation and hygiene, nutrition, and services will be studied in the Catering Study.

 

In the Catering study, there are several basic food processing techniques that will be studied in depth, such as blanching, poaching, boiling, steaming, roasting, baking, and so on.
