Ingredients:
500 grams of beef
6 lime leaves
4 lemongrass stalks bruised
5 bay leaves
2 pieces of turmeric leaves

10 cloves of red onion
6 cloves of garlic
8 large red chilies
10 pieces of red chili
3 pecans
3 cm ginger
3 cm turmeric
4 cm galangal
12 cm cinnamon
30 coriander seeds pepper cumin
3 grains of deaf or star anise
4 grains of cardamom
4 cloves
1 grain nutmeg
1 tablespoon curry powder (optional or not)
 
How to Make Padang Satay:
Step 1.
Wash the beef thoroughly.
Step 2.
Cut the beef according to taste, but not too small, because later the size of the meat will shrink.
Step 3.
Saute ground spices until fragrant.
Step 4.
Add lemongrass, lime leaves, bay leaves and turmeric leaves.
Step 5.
Saute until the spices are cooked.
Step 6.
Add the meat, stir briefly.
Step 7.
Add enough salt.
Step 8.
Saute for a while so that the spices seep into the meat.
Step 9.
Pour enough water, mix well.
Step 10.
Cover the pan and cook until the meat is cooked and tender.

If the water is running low and the meat is not yet tender, add more water to taste. After the meat is cooked, remove the meat and separate or drain from the gravy.

Skewer the meat using a skewer.

Grill over coals for a while or until it smells good.

For the gravy, if it is too thick, you can add enough water, cook again until it boils, then pour in the rice flour and cornstarch solution.
Step 15.
Adjust the taste, add salt if it's not enough. Cook the gravy until thickened and bubbling.
